The Star Citizen lore timeline is the in-universe chronology of major historical events, from early Human spaceflight and the discovery of jump points to alien diplomacy, imperial politics, Vanduul attacks and the current UEE era.
Galactapedia identifies SEY 1961 as the year Humans first achieved piloted spaceflight. This anchors the Human history line that later leads to jump-point travel, alien contact and the United Empire of Earth.
The UNE was founded in SEY 2380 as Humanity's political structure began to catch up with interstellar expansion. It later reformed into the United Planets of Earth.
Vega was discovered in 2402 and colonized soon after. Its later history includes the Battle of Vega II, making it important for the current Vanduul frontier.
First Contact Day commemorates Vernon Tar's encounter with a Banu pilot in the Davien system on 12 June 2438. The meeting quickly led to formal diplomatic contact.
Pyro was discovered in 2493 by Pyrotechnic Amalgamated. Its harsh environment and lack of formal claim later helped shape its reputation as an outlaw haven.
The Magnus system was discovered in 2499 as part of Project Far Star. Its later industrial and military role connects it to ship manufacturing history.

The First Tevarin War began in 2541 after Human explorers discovered the Tevarin system. It became a defining conflict for the UPE and set the stage for Ivar Messer's political rise.
The UEE was created in 2546 after the First Tevarin War. This moment starts the imperial political structure central to Star Citizen's present-day lore.
Ivar Messer was elected Prime Citizen on 15 December 2546. His later declaration as Imperator for life marks the practical beginning of the Messer dynasty.
The Messer Era describes the period in which the Messer family ruled the UEE as absolute rulers until the Anti-Messer Revolution removed the dynasty in 2792.
Leonard Casse founded Casse Aerospace in 2599 after working at Roberts Space Industries. His career links early spacecraft design culture to later military ship development.
The Hurricane was originally launched in 2607 by Casse Aerospace and saw use during the Second Tevarin War. Centuries later, the UEE Navy asked Anvil to modernize the fighter.
Galactapedia places the first Human contact with the Vanduul in 2681, when a Vanduul raid struck Dell Township on Armitage in the Orion system. Unlike the Banu encounter, this first contact was violent from the start.
The Armitage entry records that Orion was lost in 2712. This shows the long-term consequence of Vanduul pressure after the first violent contact at Dell Township.
The Fall of Virgil began on 2 January 2737 after the Siege of Tiber. More than a million refugees were evacuated, and the event helped fuel Anti-Messer sentiment.
The Massacre of Garron II was a genocide of the planet's sapient indigenous inhabitants under Linton Messer XI. Public footage by Tide helped trigger outrage that contributed to the end of the Messer dynasty.
Drake Interplanetary was founded in 2845 by Jan Dredge. The company's history ties Magnus, Borea and the Cutlass to one of Star Citizen's most recognizable brands.
The Fall of Caliban began with a Vanduul attack on 7 July 2884. Crion and the Caliban system were lost by 23 July 2884, making it a defining Vanduul frontier disaster.
WillsOp was established in 2902. Its later viral security incident and product response make it a compact example of civilian technology lore inside the UEE.
The Vega system entry records the Battle of Vega II in 2945 and notes millions of deaths. The aftermath led to Aremis being officially recognized later that year.
Laylani Addison was sworn in as Imperator on 1 January 2951. Her administration is associated with the Innovation Initiative, AI research and education reform.
In early February 2951, XenoThreat escalated its campaign against Stanton. UEE Navy intelligence reported incoming hostile forces and SAIC Rowena Dulli activated the Civilian Defense Force to help defend the system.
During the 2951 Stanton incursion, XenoThreat attacked supply convoys bound for INS Jericho and used an Idris railgun against the immobilized UEES War Hammer, pushing the CDF into recovery and security operations.
By 14 February 2951, the UEE Navy and Civilian Defense Force had pushed XenoThreat forces out of Stanton and back toward Pyro, closing the first major modern incursion arc.
The Siege of Orison began on 28 July 2952 when Nine Tails forces under Mendo Ren attacked civilians in Orison's Inspiration Park districts. The CDF hired civilians to help Crusader Security retake the platforms.
Save Stanton began on 12 November 2954 as an unknown criminal outfit attacked civilian traffic and populated stations. The event later connected the Slicers to the Frontier Fighters and the wider Pyro Must Burn storyline.
Fight for Pyro began on 28 January 2955 as the Pyro Must Burn storyline moved from Stanton into Pyro. Players sided with Citizens for Prosperity, the Headhunters or Frontier Fighters as the regional conflict escalated.
Supply or Die continued the Pyro Must Burn arc after Fight for Pyro, shifting the conflict into collection and supply operations involving Citizens for Prosperity and the Headhunters.
Around March 2955, an explosion in downtown New Austin revealed that a shocking number of imprinted individuals failed to regenerate. The unfolding Regen crisis became a major UEE-wide political and scientific concern.
The Second Life Resource Drive began on 17 July 2955 under Imperator Addison. The Stanton megacorporations gathered research materials intended to help solve the ongoing Regen crisis.
The Second Life Resource Drive concluded on 16 September 2955. According to the public timeline, Hurston Dynamics emerged as the winning Stanton corporation.
In 2956, a deadly fungal infection known as Molina Mold spread through Levski after faulty ventilation filters were identified as the source. The People's Alliance, the UEE-affiliated Alliance Aid organization and contractors worked to replace filters, provide treatments and contain the outbreak through Clearing The Air.
