NYX DEAD AIR

The mold killed people.
Someone used the dead to hide the truth.

A Star Citizen mystery investigation by Taavi Spectre

A body is found in the forgotten corridors of Levski. The official explanation is simple: a late Molina-related death.

Aren Vale does not believe simple explanations.

The dead man was never registered as infected. But the cargo seal in his pocket belongs to a medical shipment from the outbreak.

Instagram decides the direction. The website holds the evidence.

Character Dossier
Aren Vale, an independent incident investigator, in dark functional clothing, standing in low industrial light.

Aren Vale

Independent Incident Investigator

Former industrial incident investigator. Unofficial consultant for death reviews, disappearances and freight irregularities around Levski. Known for refusing convenient reports.

Not officially attached to the UEE, Advocacy or People's Alliance.

Personal Note Vale did not come to Nyx looking for a conspiracy. He came because a dead man had the wrong seal in his pocket.

“Dead men don't carry paperwork by accident.”

Case File // Pre-Episode 01

What We Know Before Episode 01

The Molina crisis killed many in and around Levski.

Official records blamed contaminated air systems and failed filtration.

During the crisis, medical cargo and contaminated materials moved through emergency routes.

Biohazard cargo was rarely inspected in detail.

Some old shipment IDs do not behave like dead records.

A dead man has been found with one of those IDs.

Open Questions
  • Why would a non-infected man carry a Molina-era cargo seal?
  • Why was the shipment marked as destroyed?
  • Who benefits from making a new death look old?
  • Was the Molina crisis used as cover for something else?

Unlocked Case File 01 // Levski Service Corridor

Episode 01 — Dead Air

The body was found in a forgotten service corridor below an old storage section in Levski. The first report tried to connect the death to the old Molina crisis.

Aren Vale noticed the first problem before he reached the body. The man was too clean for a corridor death. Too far from active traffic. Too conveniently explained.

His name was Joren Vask. Dockworker. Occasional hauler. No known political ties. No open warrant. No Molina infection record.

But in his jacket, Vale found a cargo seal from a medical relief shipment during the outbreak. A shipment that had supposedly been destroyed years ago.

The Investigation Begins
Detailed Case File

The official report used the phrase “possible late-stage Molina-related complication.” Vale hated that phrase.

Possible meant nobody wanted to commit. Late-stage meant nobody wanted to explain the timeline. Molina-related meant everyone would stop asking questions.

Joren Vask had no infection record. No hospital transfer during the outbreak. No quarantine registration. No reason to be carrying anything connected to those days.

But the seal in his pocket was old. Real. Not a copy. Not a cheap forgery. Stamped into the degraded polymer was a transport code from the crisis:

MED-RELIEF / BATCH 17-M / LEVSKI RETURN

The strange part was not that the shipment existed. The strange part was that the shipment had been marked as destroyed.

Report Language

The official report leans on Molina-related phrasing without matching medical documentation.

Community Decision

Vale has four leads. The community decides where he goes first.

A cold medical area representing the medical records route.
Option A

Check the Medical Records

If the death was falsely linked to Molina, the medical records may show who used the outbreak as cover before.

May reveal other deaths hidden inside old medical language.
A cargo bay filled with containers representing the cargo seal route.
Option B

Trace the Cargo Seal

The seal may connect Joren Vask to a shipment that officially no longer exists.

May expose duplicated cargo IDs and the first signs of smuggling.
A maintenance area with technicians representing the witness route.
Option C

Question the Technicians

Old filter technicians may remember which shipments moved during the crisis — and which ones nobody was allowed to open.

May reveal a human witness, but could alert someone still watching.
A silent ship on a landing pad representing the victim's ship route.
Option D

Inspect the Victim's Ship

Joren Vask's last route may say more than his body.

May reveal where he went before he died — and who followed him back.
